Imagine our great relief when, after many hours of deciphering and trekking,
we got close enough to those poor orphans, Violet and Sunny, to practically
touch them! JUST as our fingers were to connect and pull them out of their dusty
cavity, a word here that means hole, that miserable Count Olaf comes whizzing
by, completely ignoring the 5 mph speed limit rule when peds are near, and
whisked them off to parts unknown.
Oh, we are so troubled by this. Only the procuring of a masterfully carved
stamp and outrageously professional log book eased, ever so slightly, our
anguish (words here that mean WE GOT IT!!)

I too had the same bizarre happening. We braved the dark, mysterious place
he had hid them in the PNW, only to have him snatch them away. I was so
amazed with the book and stamp I didn't even see which way he went.
